‘Tteokbokki’, also known as ‘Tteobokki’ is one of the most popular street foods in Korea. Fish cake and spring onions are common ingredients paired with tteokbokki as well as boiled eggs. Gochujang, Korean spicy fermented chilli paste is the main sauce used in this dish. With a spicy, sweet flavour and a chewy texture, it is an instant favourite!

INSTRUCTIONS (Cook Time: STIR-FRY 7-10 minutes/ serves 2)
- Before cooking, rinse the rice cake in a bowl and drain the water.
- Transfer rice cake to a pan and pour 150ml of water along with the sauce and fish cake and cook in a high heat for about 4 minutes.
- When it starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium to cook further 3 minutes and stir well to avoid the rice cake sticking to the pan.
- Add the spring onion and add to the pan and it’s time to enjoy! You can add some boiled eggs for extra flavour.
